Dubai: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is seeking bids from in-flight catering companies to service upcoming flights to the United Kingdom.

This move signals a potential return of direct flights between Pakistan and the UK, with PIA planning to operate 22 weekly flights to various destinations.

The airline is seeking bids to provide meals and food packs for a significant number of passengers at three major UK airports:

London Heathrow Airport: 7,500 meal packs for ten weekly flights.
Manchester Airport: At least 6,500 meals for nine weekly flights.
Birmingham Airport: 2,200 food packs for two weekly flights.

Companies interested in providing in-flight catering services have until June 27, 2024, to submit their technical and financial proposals.
